Biography

Cherry is an experienced and accredited internal and external Communications Director with over 13 years of experience in the communications industry, specialising in public and media relations, employee engagement, marketing and crisis management. 

Her experience spans many industries; most recently she has worked in the Insight and Market Research industry, holding a Director role leading communications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 

Previously leading on events and social media for the European Business Awards, Cherry worked with Europe’s most accomplished entrepreneurs whilst facilitating an 18-month-long awards programme, which took place in eight countries across Europe. 

Cherry was recruited to work for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, in which she facilitated the communications and training of 70,000 volunteers, as well as managing the transition of the Olympics Games to Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016, respectively. Playing a significant role in the UK 2010 General Election, Cherry worked alongside Parliamentary Candidates to canvas the electorate, organise Hustings and write press coverage.

At the beginning of her career, Cherry worked as a financial Journalist for Finance News, specialising in pensions and investment advice. Holding a degree in Public and Media Relations, Cherry also qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2017.
