This minority investment round, led by Vi Partners, will help Oplit expand its footprint in Europe and continue investing in its technology platform, particularly in AI, to enhance the resilience and performance of industrial sites.
Paris, November 26, 2024 – Oplit, a software provider of planning and optimization solutions for Industry 4.0, has announced the completion of a new funding round. The amount of the investment has not been disclosed. The round was led by Vi Partners with participation from existing investors OSS Ventures, Newfund, Evolem, and BACS Innov.
The primary objective of this funding is to accelerate Oplit’s growth across Europe, with a focus on Switzerland.
Intuitive and Intelligent Solutions to Optimize Factory Production
In an increasingly volatile environment coming both from customers and suppliers, Oplit helps manufacturers become more resilient, anticipate disruptions, and respond quickly to market changes. Since its founding in 2020, the company has emerged as a key player in the digital transformation of factories by providing innovative technological solutions.
Currently deployed at over 100 sites, Oplit helps manufacturers better organize their production. By connecting to ERPs, the platform leverages a simple and customizable interface to optimize resource use, prioritize tasks, and forecast production completion dates. With Oplit, operators can access real-time priorities, planners make better decisions based on simulations, and customer service teams communicate reliable deadlines. Oplit has already proven its value in sectors such as aerospace, luxury goods, and medical equipment, working with companies like Vaucher Manufacture, Acrotec, Chanel and Richemont. The platform has become an essential tool for reducing delays, lowering inventory levels, and reducing production time.
Accelerating European Growth with a Strategic Partner
The partnership with Vi Partners marks a significant milestone in Oplit’s international expansion, leveraging the fund’s industrial expertise.
“Collaborating with Vi Partners is a game changer for our European development, particularly in Switzerland. Their industrial expertise and network will be key as we scale across Europe,” said Thibaut Wilhelm, CEO of Oplit.
“Oplit is transforming the discrete manufacturing industry by replacing outdated planning methods with a modern no-code SaaS platform. Their solution is not just a tool—it’s a catalyst that helps manufacturers streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and boost productivity. Switzerland, with its advanced industries, is a market where Oplit is already delivering impressive results. During our due diligence, we were struck by the enthusiasm of their customers, some of whom reported a 10% reduction in production lead times and a 50% decrease in delays. We are proud to support Thibaut, Soufiane, and their team and look forward to accelerating their expansion in Switzerland and neighboring countries,” said Olivier Laplace, Managing Partner at Vi Partners.
Strengthening R&D to Drive Innovation
This funding round will also enable Oplit to deepen its R&D efforts, with a focus on enhancing its AI capabilities. The company aims to improve its ability to predict production completion dates, recommend planning scenarios, identify deviations from production targets, and accelerate deployment on new industrial sites.
“We aim to support every decision made within an industrial site. This funding reflects our ambition to develop dedicated modules for each role in the supply chain, offering simple and AI-powered solutions. With Oplit, manufacturers are already more competitive and collaborative, and we’re committed to helping them achieve even more,” added Thibaut Wilhelm, CEO of Oplit.
Bolstering Leadership with Industry Expertise
Oplit recently strengthened its leadership team by appointing François Calvarin, former CEO of Souriau, as Chairman.
“François’ arrival is a major asset for Oplit. His experience and deep understanding of the industrial sector will play a significant role in supporting our expansion. We are confident that his vision and expertise will help us achieve new milestones together,” said Patrick Malka, Managing Partner at Newfund.
Keeping an eye on the U.S. Market
Oplit has also completed a first deployment in the U.S. market, demonstrating its solution’s adaptability to local needs. While the U.S. is not yet a core focus of Oplit’s strategy, the company remains open to exploring new long-term opportunities to support its global growth if the right conditions arise.
