VI Partners, the longest-established VC team in Switzerland, welcomes Simon Meier as new Partner. Simon joins the Healthcare Investment team where he will work together with Arnd Kaltofen and Diego Braguglia, focusing on investments in #HealthTechnology (data, software, hardware).

Simon brings 20 years of experience as an investor, business development manager and board member in Healthcare Venture Capital. Prior to joining VIP, Simon led a global team for business development for Roche Diagnostics Information Solution (for two years based in San Francisco, CA, USA). In this role, he concluded global alliances with GE Healthcare and Accenture. Prior to that, Simon was an investment director at the Roche Venture Fund. In this role, he co-led the Series A round of mySugr, a direct-to-patient mobile integrated diabetes disease solution er sold to Roche Diabetes Care. He also co-led the Series B round of Viewics, a Lab analytics SaaS offering (acquired by Roche Lab Insights), and the Series B round of Curetis, a point-of-care molecular testing company (IPO to NASDAQ). Among other achievements, Simon managed the long-term investment in Senseonics (IPO to NASDAQ) and Stratos genomics and Foundation Medicine (both acquired by Roche).

Simon is a graduate of the University of St. Gallen, one of the leading business schools in Europe.
