History

In 2001, ten large Swiss corporations together with ETH and McKinsey created Venture Incubator, an evergreen venture capital fund. Its goal was to support startups in Switzerland, mainly those emerging from the country’s excellent universities. VI Partners was appointed to manage the fund in 2002, and our Managing Partners have been working together since then.

The Venture Incubator initiative proved to be a success. For 18 years, the fund invested in more than 50 companies. With our entrepreneurial approach and hands-on support for portfolio companies, VI Partners not only provided funding, but also network, expertise and strategic advice.

In April 2020, VI Partners created a new fund investing in innovative Healthcare and Technology ventures in Europe, with an emphasis on Switzerland.
