Alain became part of Vi Partners in 2002, following a successful period from 1989 to 2002, during which he invested in numerous companies spanning the medical instrumentation (e.g., compx), information technology (e.g., vtx-telecom, sourcingparts , mnc.ch, leshop), and consumer sectors (e.g., chateauform, fleurdepains). In many instances, he played a pivotal role as either a founder or an early-stage seed investor, often holding executive positions. Prior to his entrepreneurial pursuits, he provided strategic counsel to prominent telecommunication operators, specializing in cable television, interactive services, and M&A transactions

Alain started his career at Arthur Andersen and McKinsey. He holds a business degree from HEC Lausanne and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau. He is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
