Altendorf, Switzerland, March 10, 2026.  Vi Partners, the longest-established VC investor in Switzerland, welcomes Julien Pache as new Partner. Julien joins the firm to support the deployment of its new fund across Switzerland and Europe, investing in early-stage technology and healthcare companies.

Julien brings more than fifteen years of experience as both a venture capital investor and operator. He joined Verve Ventures in 2012 and played a key role in building the firm. He led the investment team for nearly five years and invested in more than 25 early-stage companies across SaaS and deep tech. He also managed Verve’s corporate venture mandates where he worked closely with Olivier Laplace, Managing Partner at Vi Partners, co-investing on multiple investments that led to visible tech exits in Switzerland such as Metaco, Testing Time and Beekeeper.

In 2019, Julien joined Verve portfolio company Bring! Labs as Chief Commercial Officer, where he led monetization strategy, business development and revenue growth, decisively contributing to a successful exit. He returned to Verve Ventures in 2021 as Venture Partner, continuing to focus on high-growth technology investments.

Julien holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Fribourg and a Master in Philosophy of Science from the University of Bern.

Olivier Laplace, Managing Partner, Technology, commented: "The firm looks forward to working with Julien as a new Partner within our firm, and I look forward to working alongside Julien again after our collaboration at Bring! Labs where I was on the board and Julien CCO. Julien combines long-standing venture capital experience with hands-on operational leadership in a high-growth technology company. His track record investing in early-stage deeptech and SaaS businesses, as well as scaling a venture-backed company, will be a strong asset for our portfolio companies and highly relevant to our LPs. Julien’s dual perspective as investor and operator will further enhance our ability to back and support ambitious founders across Europe.”

Gaetano Zanon, General Partner, added: “Julien’s appointment reflects the momentum behind our new fund and the strength of our investment strategy. His combination of deep venture capital expertise and operational experience at a portfolio company is exactly the profile we look for at Vi Partners. We are building a team that can truly partner with founders from the earliest stages through to exit.”

Julien Pache commented: “I am very much looking forward to joining the Vi team to back exceptional founders. It has never been a more exciting time to invest in technology. A new wave of intelligent, learning software is transforming enterprises, robotics, industrial automation, and healthcare, while redefining the mechanics of nearly every sector. I strongly believe that Switzerland and Europe must play a central role in this technological wave, and that Vi Partners can make a strong contribution to it.”

With Julien joining the firm, Vi Partners further strengthens its team, leveraging more than 25 years of experience backing European technology and healthcare companies, including five unicorns and recent successful exits such as EPFL spin-off Nexthink and ETH Zurich spin-off Araris.
